You know it's cold when...
...you step outside and see this:
Penguin invasions are always a problem this time of year. You know, they only LOOK cute, but stay away if you value your fingers.
(Pattern by none other than Jean Greenhowe, from Knitted Animals. I think there are only 2-3 patterns from that booklet I haven't done already. It's just packed with cuteness. And the little "trees" are Habu stainless steel wool, sent to me by a friend. Don't they look like little Christmas trees, though?)

heheheh Thanks for the laugh. That's incredibly cute.
What a cutie! He looks toasty all bundled up, instead of angry like so many people do when it's cold in Chicago....
By the way I will be in Chicago/the suburbs next week. But I guess this is a busy time for you. Maybe another time?
cute! Can't wait to see what you make out of the steel!
Just worry when they begin to march :-p
Oh my goodness I love that penguin. So, so, much better than the one Anna chose at Wal-Mart with the Hawaiian shirt and sunglasses that lift as it waddles across the floor singing, "Have a Holy Jolly Christmas."
What a cute little pal!
Tehe,cute~!
M-m-m-m, I curious on how those steel wool cones will knit up.
